Single channel gas sensor head

                

 Some tasks allow using single channel (or one color) schematics for gas concentration  measurements. On the other hand at an initial stage of  research it is acceptable to use simple devices that can help understanding of the gas sensing peculiarities. Such is the sensor head that consists of LED and PD optically coupled via a spherical mirror as shown in the figures below. Shown below are also the scans from oscilloscope that demonstrate changes of photosignals in the presence of the absorbing gas (CO2 particularly).
